Do you accept insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance. We can provide a SuperBill for you, which does require you to submit payment first, but you may submit it to your insurance company to potentially receive reimbursement. Please note there is no guarantee of reimbursement, and every insurance plan is different. Please call your insurance provider to clarify your benefits.
Do I need to live in Illinois to have a telehealth visit at Planta Nutrition Rx?
Yes! Telehealth services for nutrition consultations, initial and follow-up, are restricted to patients who live in Illinois.
However, Planta Nutrition Rx has other services you might benefit from if you are living in any other state. Contact Us for more information.
Do you see patients in-person for nutrition consultations?
Currently, all nutrition consultations are via Telehealth.
Do I need any lab work before my appointment?
It is not required but recommended. Most nutrition and lifestyle recommendations could be based on your lab work.
How many times should I expect to work with my Registered Dietitian?
We recommend a frequency based on your medical history, lifestyle habits, and personal goals, but the decision is up to you how often you want to schedule visits.
Will a meal plan work for me?
Yes! A meal plan can help as a guide to start building or changing nutrition habits. We all know life is not perfect, and we have long days at work, health appointments, sick days, kid games, etc. But with a meal plan targeted to your nutritional needs and goals, you will have the necessary tool with ideas on what to cook and recipes.
